At Singapore International Cyber Week (SICW) 2025, the ICCSW convened a workforce development panel titled “Shaping Tomorrow’s Cybersecurity Workforce”, bringing together government and industry leaders from the UK, Singapore, Canada and the UAE to discuss the global cyber skills challenge and the need for greater international collaboration. The discussion focused on developing cybersecurity competency frameworks, professionalising the cyber workforce, improving quality and standards across cyber roles, and exploring how countries can work together to support cross-border recognition of skills and competencies. The panel also examined the respective roles of governments, industry and professional bodies in building sustainable cyber talent pipelines and ensuring the workforce can adapt to emerging technologies and threats.
